All types of camping options are to be found in the National Capital. There are some good opportunities to enjoy bush camping close to nature in a rural environment or choose more luxurious accommodation in cabins or take along your own van or motorhome.

Exhibition Park
This park is for tents and caravans only. No on-site accommodation provided. Conveniently located at the Gateway to the National Capital. On the corner of Flemington Road and Northbourne Avenue on Federal Highway just 8 minutes north of Central Canberra.

There are 100 powered sites with full amenities including large sites for caravans and motor-homes as well as un-powered sites, all with access to water. The sites are grassy, large and drive-through and grey water and black water dump points are available. Easy access to the city with Public transport.

There is a farmer’s market every Saturday morning. There is not a lot of shade at the park so it can be hot and dry. There is no pool. Pets are allowed. Clean well-maintained, basic amenities and value for money cheap rates.

Crestview Tourist Park

Situated at the southern approach to Canberra just 13 km from the city centre. It has the full range of accommodation in deluxe through to budget cabins and caravan and camping sites, with en-suite & powered sites available. This is a modern park with well maintained facilities. The city bus stops at the entrance and it is close to shops and clubs. Bedding is not supplied. Features include Fully tiled modern amenities with Laundromat, babies bath, solar heated swimming pool & barbecue area, children's playground, and boomgate security. Bookings are essential.

This park offers a picturesque rural setting of 20 acres with cattle and sheep grazing peacefully nearby. Kangaroos also visit in the early morning and evening. All this is only 7 km north of Canberra CBD and provides a very relaxing atmosphere.

There are 60 powered sites and unlimited un-powered ones. Bookings are not taken for these and it operates on a first come first served basis.Features include a free gas barbeque, ice, licensed shop, wireless internet, swimming pool and children’s wading pool during summer. There is plenty of space for children to ride bikes or just enjoy the outdoors.
